Cambodia Expeditions Boat Raids

The 1990s for Cambodia was the decade for exploration and Extreme Sports Cafe in Cambodia was at the forefront of the thrust to find new and exciting destinations as peace and stability returned to the country. First came exploration of the main highways, then, by dirt bike and four wheel drive, the country's wild interior. Now Extreme Sports Cafe in Cambodia is spearheading the drive into the last of Cambodia's untouched frontiers- the rivers, lakes and oceans of this magnificent country covered in jungle and teeming with wildlife.

Extreme Sports Cafe in Cambodia uses a variety of water-bourne craft to take small groups of adventurers right into the heart of this water world. From turtle watching in the Cardomon Mountains to following in the wake of the fictional journey made in the film Apocalypse Now up the Se San river and SCUBA diving the reefs off the untouched coastal paradise islands in the south.

The rivers of Cambodia are not only among some of the most fertile in the world (the Tonle Sap is reputed to be the most fertile inland water way in the world and is the only river in the world to change direction twice every year), but also home to a multitude of diverse floating communities and wildlife that live from this abundance. Cambodia is home to several types of water fowl that can be found nesting nowhere else in Asia.

Our Combodian Expedition leader is a British-trained powerboat skipper, holding an MCA (Maritime and Coastal Agency) commercial passenger boat operators license. Cruise with him to where few have ever been, to places that move to the rhythm of the tides and the flow of the passing currents.

Stay overnight in floating villages where no land-based vehicles could ever reach or take a night out under the stars with the Cambodia Extreme camping team for a little bit of luxury far from the nearest guest house.

Extreme Sports Cafe Cambodia takes full advantage of local knowledge in all our dealings with the rivers and the ocean, taking local vessels and crew wherever possible, from small open-speed boats to large, ocean-going converted fishing boats.

Cambodia Extreme Mixed Vehicle Expedition

For the adventurer who would like to see a diverse mixture of terrain both on land, using both two and four wheels, and over water on river or sea. Not all dirt bike riders want to complete the entire expedition from the saddle and also want to see what the country's waterways have to offer. Throw a few nights camping into the mix and you have a full range expedition.

For example an expedition may start with a truck ride into the interior where the riders transfer to dirt bikes to take them the next leg of the journey to where a boat awaits them to return them to base. Custom tour itineraries are arranged to suit these requirements drawing from the full Cambodia Extreme Sports Cafe range.

Cambodia Extreme Tourism Support

Those who travel light travel furthest and fastest.

Cambodia Extreme Sports Cafe Expeditions recommend the use of support vehicles and personnel for each Cambodia Extreme dirt bike tour. The support vehicle can carry all essential supplies and a spare motorcycle in case of terminal mechanical break down as well as non-riding members of the tour.

This allows the rider to travel unencumbered with extra baggage, that is both tiring to the rider and difficult and sometimes dangerous to travel with attached to the motorcycle.

For riders who wish to travel light or into areas of the country where it is impractical for a support vehicle to follow due to the severity of the terrain Extreme Sports Cafe Cambodia uses a system of supply drops around the country to eliminate the need to carry more than the equipment essential to the tour on a day by day basis.

The balance of the fees need to be paid one month prior to arrival at our school.
